Inside FESIN Accreditation: What the Process Involves

Schools that wish to join the Global Schools Network are assessed by FESIN against the standards of the Finnish education model. The process is not a formality: it is a review of how a school actually teaches, how it supports its students and how its leadership plans for the years ahead.

Accreditation proceeds in stages. An application is followed by an institutional review, in which FESIN examines the school’s academic programme, teaching staff, guidance services and physical environment. A visiting assessment brings FESIN evaluators into the school itself. The findings are then reported back to the school with the strengths identified and the areas that require development.

Accreditation is not the end of the relationship. Member schools continue to receive teacher training, curriculum support and access to the network — including this platform — and are reviewed periodically to confirm that standards are maintained.
